Maisy Taylor is a singer/songwriter from Byron Bay, whose songs tell stories of human experience. Maisy experiments with jazz, folk and pop in her songwriting to create catchy hooks and complex melodies. Maisy was hand selected to perform in Arts Northern Rivers 'If These Halls Could Talk' Program, a collaboration with Opera Queensland.She has also performed at the Byron Bay Falls Festival 2017/18.
Timber and Steel described the performance as,“the epitome of happiness on a grey day, with mischievous tones on lilting notes.” Her song ‘Little Birdy’ was a finalist for Folk Song of the Year at the 2017 NCEIA Dolphin Awards. Now based in Brisbane, she is currently studying music at QUT, where she continues to hone her skills as a performer and push the boundaries with her songwriting.
